Satan

The Story of JOB

Job 1:6-8

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.
And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

Make no mistake; these words were designed as a challenge and an affront to Satan.

Satan did not miss God’s implied rebuke that was designed to confront Satan of his own rebelliousness.

The words spoken by God to Satan were also understood as a challenge, exactly as God intended they would be.

It is in the created expanse above the earth and under the firmament called the “air” where Satan rules a host of angelic rebels and evil spirits.

It is from this perch that he makes it his frantic business to go to and fro on the earth looking for ways to advance his cause by making war against God’s creation.

In order to fully understand the story of the trials and tribulations of Job, we need to discover the underlying revelation in the name of Job's adversary.

Is there a hidden message in the Hebrew name we translate into English as Satan?

Understanding the hidden meaning of the name of Satan will help us get a vision of the story of Job, re-calibrated from a heavenly perspective.

We all understand that Satan is our adversary, the enemy of our souls.

But is there an additional testimony regarding Satan hidden in the pictures that are embedded in the THREE HEBREW LETTERS that compose the name of Satan?

Let’s take a look.

Satan

Noon        Tet        Sheen

The Hebrew spelling of Satan is SHEEN TET NOON.

The first Hebrew Letter in the name of Satan is the letter SHEEN.

Sheen is pictured as TEETH and it means to consume or destroy; it can also mean to press with sharp teeth in order to tear something apart.

The next Hebrew Letter in the name of Satan is the letter TET.

TET is pictured as a SNAKE and means to Surround, to Twist, Entwine and Ensnare.

The final letter in the name of Satan is the Hebrew letter NOON.

Noon is pictured as a Fish and signifies activity and life.

In the conventional Hebrew Word, Satan is translated THE ADVERSARY.

You cannot read the Biblical account of JOB without understanding that Job had an army of enemies on earth and in the heaven that was directly above his head.

Who are these unseen enemies and why are they scheming and raging against us?

The purpose of this unseen kingdom is not a mystery to anyone who has opened up and read the ancient prophetic text that we call the Scriptures.

In this ancient prophetic text we call the Old Testament, we are told about an unseen kingdom that exists in close proximity to our own earth.

As we search the prophetic revelation, we discover many things that are both puzzling and alarming. We learn that there is an invisible kingdom that is at war with the Creator and His creation, especially mankind.

The destiny of this kingdom ruled by Satan, including the prophetic declaration of its certain and soon demise, has not been hidden from us.

The destiny of the Prince of the Power of the Air along with all those that have sworn their allegiance to him willingly or unwittingly has been written as if it were history past.

In the meantime, the Dark Prince rages against the Lord God who made both heaven and earth for reasons that are obvious to all those that believe God's Word.

In the picture language, the Hebrew word Satan informs us as to the method and motivation of our adversary Satan.

Satan is Tet

The Serpent that Surrounds and Ensnares us

Satan's goal is expressed in the letter Sheen

Satan desires to crush, devour and destroy.

And what is it that Satan wants to surround ensnare, crush, devour and destroy?

The answer is found in the Hebrew letter Noon

                               Noon

Activity   Life

Satan is the Serpent that Surrounds and Ensnares us in order to devour and destroy our Activity and our Life.

As a direct result of the sin of Adam, sin not only entered the world but it also entered into all the sons and daughters of Adam.

Each one of us struggles with the same hubris and arrogance that entered the heart and withered the spiritual life of the Cherub that once covered the throne of Almighty God.

Remember that Satan was privileged above all the other angels, but instead of rejoicing in His creator he coveted the praise and honor that is due God alone.

As followers of Yeshua, we are indwelt by the Holy Spirit of God. That does not mean we are beyond temptation.

What are we to do?

The Scriptures give us the answer:

1 Peter 5:6-8

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Ephesians 6:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

I love these! Thank you for sharing these. Do you by chance have anything on the “Rock” mentioned in the old testament? I’m curious to know.
    Blessings,

This is good information! An accurate depiction of Satan! I don’t like the repeated image with a crown but that is esthetics. How can you understand and present this using Hebrew, Gods language, beautifully, by the INDWELLING HOLY SPIRIT … and also send out “dispensations?!”
