GOD’S NAME – A DIVINE SIGNATURE
In this article, we will continue our study of the pictures embedded under each of the four Hebrew letters that compose the Hebrew word Mishkan, the word we translate into English as Tabernacle.
We learned that Mishkan or Tabernacle is spelled Mem, Sheen, Kaf, Noon.
Mem is the Picture of Water
Sheen is the Picture of Teeth
Kaf is the Picture of an Open Palm
Noon is a Picture of a Fish
We began our investigation by looking at the first letter, the letter Mem.
We asked the question what does Waters (Mem) have to do with the Tabernacle?
We learned that the key to unlocking this mystery is to understand that the revelation regarding the Tabernacle is not so much about what it is as it is about, where it came from!
We know that the precise plans for building the Tabernacle came from above, they came from the courts of Heaven.
We know that the LORD of Heaven is going to come down and inhabit the Mishkan, or Tabernacle.
We are still left with the question:
What does this have to do with Waters?
We isolated the one picture of Mem that most closely matched the context of both the picture of Water and the revelation that the plans and the resident of the Tabernacle both come from the courts of Heaven.
We concluded that the picture of Mem as Rain is the best fit.
The letter Mem as used in the Hebrew word Mishkan is not about actual rainwater, it is about something and someone that comes down from above just like rain.
Just like the rain comes down from the Heavens, the one who is going to inhabit the Tabernacle comes down from Heaven above.
We also noticed that if you take the letter Sheen, pictured as teeth, and Kaf, pictured as a Palm or Hand, out of the Hebrew word Mishkan what you are left with is the Hebrew Word Mem Noon.
Do you recognize the Hebrew word spelled Mem Noon?
Mem Noon is the Hebrew word, Manna.
Noon Kaf Sheen Mem
Discovering how the LORD uses the MEM as a picture in the Mystery of the Manna gives us the answer to how the LORD is using the letter Mem in the Mystery of the Tabernacle.
The Mem Noon, or Manna, that first dropped to earth from Heaven was literally bread of life that came down from Heaven.
If the first letter in Mishkan, the Mem, the first clue that whatever is going on in the Tabernacle, is something that has come down from Heaven, the last letter in Mishkan, the Noon, is the clue that whatever has come down from Heaven has to do with LIFE.
Now let’s discover the meaning of the second letter in the Hebrew word Mishkan or Tabernacle.
Noon Kaf Sheen Mem
The second letter is Sheen.
What does this mean and what does it have to do with the Tabernacle?
SHEEN AND THE NAME OF GOD
The Hebrew letter SHEEN is one of the most mysterious and important letters in the picture language of the Hebrew Aleph-Beyt. There are three basic concepts contained in the picture meaning of the letter SHEEN. These three concepts are all unique and yet connected in ways you are about to discover.
The pictograph for the letter SHEEN is teeth. The three most common pictographic concepts embedded in the Hebrew letter SHEEN, pictured as Teeth, are as follows:
1. God’s name
2. To consume or destroy
3. To press against
Which meaning would you pick?
GOD’S NAME – A DIVINE SIGNATURE
SHEEN is the one letter that is connected with the name of God. Would it surprise you that God has written His name on the Earth? In the ancient prophetic text of Deuteronomy we read the following:
Then to the place the Lord your God will choose as a dwelling for his name – there you are to bring everything I command you: your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tithes and special gifts, and all the choice possessions you have vowed to the Lord.
Where is this place that God has inscribed His name?
The answer is Jerusalem.
Jerusalem is the same place where the Temple that replaced the Tabernacle was built.
The Temple in Jerusalem was the most important place in all Israel. It is where the Hebrews were to come and offer their sacrifices.
Before we proceed, please read the following verses in order to be fully persuaded that God actually said that He would put His name in Jerusalem.
Are we to understand this literally?
1 Kings 11:36
And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light alway before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there.
2 Kings 21:4
And he built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD said, In Jerusalem will I put my name.
2 Chronicles 6:6
But I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there;
If you look at any ancient map of Jerusalem, you will notice something both odd and astounding.
You would notice the three valleys that come together at the base of Mount Moriah.
After looking at the map of Jerusalem, it immediately becomes clear that God had literally etched His name into three stone valleys.
And what was etched?
Nothing less than the Hebrew letter SHEEN, the name of God.
Notice the Kidron Valley on the right,
The Central Valley in the middle,
And the Hinom Valley on the left –
These three fingers that compose the letter Sheen reveal the title holder's name.
Is this the place where God literally chose to write His name?
There is no question about the fact that the LORD Himself came down from heaven to temporarily indwell the Tabernacle. There is no question that part of the mystery of the Tabernacle is solved when you add the puzzle piece that is the one letter signature of the Lord.
Have we discovered the final meaning of Sheen as it is used in the Mishkan?
The answer is probably not.
The final solution to the Mystery of the Tabernacle as revealed in the four letters Mem, Sheen, Kaf, and Noon will be revealed in the next episode. Stay tuned for Part 4 of the Mystery of the Tabernacle.
