Cain – Part II

At the conclusion of the investigation into the picture meaning of Cain, we asked if there might be another meaning besides the one disclosed in the first article.

Was the Hebrew word Cain simply a prophecy that Cain would do an evil deed with his hand that would end the life of Abel condemning Cain to a life of wandering? A life where he was always leaving showing all that viewed him the back of his head?

Is there a prominent Messianic prophetic picture in the name of Cain?

The key to understanding the answer to this question is the Hebrew letter Yood. The way God uses this picture is very instructive.

When Yood, pictured as a hand, is in the middle of a word it can have the meaning of blocking or separating.

We have many examples of how YHVH uses this picture of the hand that separates to reveal important truths.

In the name of ELOHIM, Yood is pictured as the hand that separates the waters.

Anger

Beyt  Yood  Aleph

Let’s consider the Hebrew Word Picture that emerges from the three Hebrew letters Aleph, Yood, and Beyt. It is the conventional Hebrew word that we translate into English as Anger

It is the picture of the Son separated from the Father by the Yood or the hand.

Put it another way, ANGER is pictured by the Son  crying out   “Where is my Father?”

Calamity

Dalet  Yood  Aleph

The meaning of CALAMITY has the same idea and provokes the same question as the Hebrew word Anger.

In the same way that the picture translated “Where is the Father?” is the quintessential picture of ANGER, the picture translated “Where is the PATH or DOORWAY? This is the essence of CALAMITY.

The picture of Calamity is literally a picture of the Father (Aleph) separating with his Hand (Yood) the way to the Door or Pathway (Dalet).

In other words, it is,  “Where is the Path?  Where is the Doorway?”

“Where is the Path to Life?”

The Messianic Pictorial meaning of Cain is as follows:

Cain

Noon  Yood  Qoof

Cain has turned his back on Life.
Cain has been separated from Life.

In other words, there is no way that Cain is the Anointed One that was promised in Genesis 3:15. In order to unravel the mystery hidden in the name of Cain as it relates to the Messiah, we need to add the numeric layer of meaning. The picture and the number meaning combine to unlock the Messianic mystery.

Let's take a look at the numbers of Cain.

Qoof  100

One Hundred is the number that is associated with the promised seed, the Children of Israel.

The Hebrew name Cain announced that Cain was NOT the one Adam and Eve were expecting to fulfill the promise of restoration and deliverance that was first prophesied in Genesis 3:15.

The Hebrew name Cain DID announce in advance the direct line through which the Messiah would come.

Does this sound amazing?

The proof is in the numbers.

If you search you will discover that the first time the number 100 years is mentioned in the Scriptures is in Genesis 11:10 where we read the following:

These are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood:

So you're probably wondering what Shem having a son when he was 100 years old has to do with the Messiah.

Shem was one of the three sons of Noah.  He was the son chosen by God to carry forth the promise made to Eve.  It is through the line of Shem that Messiah will be born.

The second and third mention of a hundred years shows up in Scriptures in Genesis chapters 17 and 21.

Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear? Genesis 17:17

And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him. Genesis 21:5

Who was Isaac?

Isaac was the miracle son, the son of promise whose descendants would bring forth the Messiah.

Remember that Abraham had 8 sons from three wives.

Isaac was the one chosen by God to be the father of Jacob whose name was changed to Israel.

In our next lesson, we will look at the numbers in the name of Cain.  I think you will be encouraged and surprised by what we find.

Thank you for taking the time to explore the message in this article.

Until next time.
