Translation of the Picture Meaning of Understanding
You’re probably wondering what a tent, a hand, a fish, and man lifting up both hands to heaven have to do with the Hebrew word Understanding.
The picture language we find embedded in each of the Hebrew letters does an amazing job of revealing an unforgettable picture that is the essence of the word being investigated. Such is the strange and mysterious case of the Hebrew word Understanding.
The tent is a picture of a house. It can be a physical house or it can be a metaphor for our earthly house, our tent or our body.
The Picture language of the Tent and the Hand inform us that a mighty work or deed is being accomplished inside of us. This deed is divine.
We understand from the context of the Scriptures that the innermost part of the tent or body in which the work is being done is in our heart.
What does this divine deed accomplish?
The answer is found in the next two Hebrew letters Noon and Hey.
Noon is pictured as a fish and it means life and activity.
Hey is pictured as a man holding his hands up in the air as he looks toward the heavens. Hey means to reveal to others or to have something that is revealed to you. It can also mean to receive a revelation and then reveal it to others. It is the one letter that is most often associated with the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of Truth and Righteousness.
So what does it all mean?
When we combine the four puzzle pieces Beyt, Yood, Noon and Hey we receive a message loud and clear.
The Picture translation of Understanding is as follows:
Godly gives His children Understanding. This understanding is a result of a Divine work that God does in the human heart. The result of this Divine work is Life and Revelation.
Revelation to the person who has received God’s gift of understanding and revelation to the outside world that God is at work in the hearts of man.
Revelation that results in actions that bring Glory to God.
There is a wisdom and understanding that is Celestial and comes from the throne room of God.
But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.
There is a wisdom and understanding that is terrestrial that comes from the darkened heart and mind of fallen man.
Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
And finally, there is a wisdom that comes from the dark regions of hell, the place trafficked by the demons and all the minions of Satan.
We close this teaching with a question from the book of Job.
Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?
Let’s personalize it. Where are you getting your wisdom and understanding?
Who are you relying on for wisdom?
Is it the world that is going to pass away or is it the eternal Lord of heaven and earth?
The state of your eternal soul depends upon the answer to this question.
The Messianic Meaning of Understanding
Revealed in the Numbers
Hey Noon Yood Beyt
5 50 10 2
Is there a direct link between Understanding and the Messiah?
The answer is found in the numbers. Numbers that solve the mystery that is foundational to the essence and purpose of Godly Understanding.
Understanding that comes from the Throne Room of the Lord God, YHVH Elohim.
Before we translate the number meaning of Understanding we need to know something that seems to escape many Christians.
Do you realize that if you're a Christian that you are in a war with the world systems of wisdom and understanding?
The world's system of wisdom and understanding is not informed by God but by the twin spots of human and demonic sources of information. Much of this information is “so-called” science. This includes everything from modern medicine to modern astronomy.
This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. – James 3:15
While these field of study may include some “truth” they are also rooted in lies and deceptions that are designed to separate us from the true wisdom and understanding that only comes from God.
Is it an accident that the world of science including mathematics, physics, astronomy, biology, chemistry and even biblical studies is always challenging the veracity of Scripture?
O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: – 1 Timothy 6:20
If Satan cannot convince you that the Bible is a myth and a lie then he will settle for putting into your mind that you cannot trust the bible to be literal.
Christians are told they must allegorize the Scriptures in order to fit it into “modern science” and “modern cosmology”. We are constantly being given new expansive lists of all the things the world tell us is now know for certain.
Many of these “new scientific” revelations and disclosures are in direct contradiction to the Bible. This includes the theory of ever expanding theory of evolution and the world’s fairy tale called “modern cosmology”.
We are told that these “fields or inquiry” are the latest discoveries. The truth is that most of it is nothing more than rank speculation that passes between the perverted imagination of sinful man and a blackboard. From the blackboard to the textbook without ever actually investigating the claims that come at us like a blizzard.
We are then told that it is “settled” science. Anyone that challenges “settled” science based on the teaching of the bible is either mentally ill or intellectually challenged. After all, they have a blackboard full of numbers and equations that are the product of confused minds out of touch with God’s reality, but since they have a bunch of letters following their names we assume they must be smarter and wiser than any of us. I call this “Chalkboard Reality”, and once challenged by the real world we live in it disappears like the dust off a chalkboard. Clap your erasers together and see what you get? A cloud of dust that falls to the floor. That is the ultimate destination of all the foolishness that proceeds from the darkened hearts of men and women that are in a state of rebellion against the truth of God.
There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the Lord. – Proverbs 21:30
In other words, if it is man's wisdom and understanding it will vanish like the mist when it challenges the wisdom and understanding of the Lord.
Do you question whether the tactics and strategies of the world have permeated the church? Simply point out that the world’s cosmology does not conform to the 1st chapter of Genesis and you are told politely to sit down and not make a problem.
In other words, church leaders around the world no longer take the bible literally and treat those that do as if they are Neanderthal, unintelligent troublemakers.
How did we get into this mess?
The answer is that we have stopped relying on the Scriptures as our primary sources of wisdom and understanding. The source through which all other sources must be vetted and scrutinized. Not the other way around.
Listen to the Lord's diagnosis of the problem.
Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: – Ephesians 4:18
Ask yourself; do you really want to know what God thinks?
Is that important to you?
If it is important then consult the Scriptures!
Everything is going to pass away except God’s Word and those that have trusted in Him and Him alone. This point of view may put you on the outs for a couple decades with the world, but compared to eternity that is not even worth mentioning.
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. – Luke 21:33
The answer to the theological sacred meaning of the Hebrew word we translate as Understanding is found in the pictures and numbers of the three words Heart, Wisdom, and Understanding. It is a meaning that will never pass away!
Once you get a grip on what the bible teaches about these three cords of truth you will have a yardstick to measure where you are in relationship to God’s revelation.
For some, the yardstick will be an inadequate means of measuring the great distance they have traveled from the truth.
Now let's take a look at the marvelous Messianic nugget that is tucked into the very numbers of the word Understanding.
Difference – Good or Evil – Division – Living Word
Second -To Come Alongside for Help
To Come Alongside to Hinder
Second Person of the Godhead
God the Son
Perfection of Divine Order – Completeness of order
Testimony The Law – Ten Commandments
Responsibility – Divinely Ordered Events
Holy Spirit – Pentecost – Deliverance
Followed by Rest – Grace Multiplied
Unmerited Favor – God's Goodness
Pentateuch Divine Strength – The Fifth
What Follows Creation
The number meaning of Understanding is gloriously simple.
The number 2 points us to the Son of God, the Messiah.
The number 10 informs us that a sequential work is being done that is more precious than gold or silver. It is the divine revelation of Wisdom and Understanding.
The number 50 informs us that this unfolding sequence of revelation will result in deliverance from bondage.
The number 5 informs us that the entire divine work of unfolding wisdom and revelation that results in deliverance from bondage is a work of Grace!
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. – 1 Corinthians 1:18
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. – 1 John 5:20
