The Mystery Message Hidden in the name of The Messiah

The most familiar title for the prophesied deliverer is the title Messiah that means “the Anointed One”. Would it surprise you that the title Messiah is only found in one book in the Old Testament and only used twice?

Jesus told the Pharisees that if they searched the Scriptures they would find Him, the Messiah.  He declared that they would find Him everywhere since the Scripture's primary purpose is to testify of the coming of the Messiah.  You can read this account in John 5:39.

So why are there only two references to the Messiah in the entire Old Testament?  The answer to that question is that there are tens of thousands of references to the Messiah in the Old Testament, but only two that declare Him as the anointed one, the Messiah.

The testimony of the coming Messiah starts in the first word in the first book of the bible.  In Genesis 1:1 we are told in the conventional Hebrew that “In the beginning” God created the heavens and the earth.  In the Picture language of the Hebrew word we translate into English as beginning is a pictographic story that is impossible to ignore.  The revelation found in the pictographic message is that “The Son of God is going to Press His Hand against a Cross.”   The number language expands on this redemptive theme and even provides the literal time frame in which this event will take place.

If that sounds impossible then I would suggest you get ahold of the Living Word in 3-D Volume One and see this divine extraordinary disclosure for yourself.   The Hebrew Language is really three languages rolled into one.  A conventional language, a picture language and a number language.

The 15th and 16th Hebrew letters in the Scriptures give us another title for the coming Savior.  He is the Aleph and the Tav, what we understand as the Alpha and the Omega.

  • In Genesis 3:15 the Messiah is identified as the “seed of the woman” the one that will come and crush the head of the serpent.
  • In Genesis 14:18 the Messiah is disclosed as “a priest after the order of Melchizedek” the King of Peace and Righteousness.
  • In Genesis 22:8 the Messiah is pictured as promised Lamb of God.
  • In Genesis 28:12 the Messiah is seen as the Gateway or Bridge to Heaven.
  • In Genesis 49:10 the Messiah is called Shiloh.
  • In Exodus 3:13 -15 we see the Messiah identify Himself as the Great I AM.
  • In Exodus 12:5 The Messiah is pictured as the Lamb without blemish.
  • In Exodus 12:21-27 He is the Passover Lamb.
  • In Exodus 17:6 The Messiah is pictured as the Rock.
  • In Numbers 21:9 The Messiah is pictured as the brass serpent on the pole.
  • In Ruth 4: 4-10 The Messiah is pictured as our Kinsman Redeemer.
  • In 2 Samuel 7:16a The Messiah is declared to be The Son Of God.
  • In Isaiah 8:8 we are told that the Messiah will be called Immanuel or God with us.
  • In Isaiah 9:6 we are told that the Messiah will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God and the Prince of Peace.

When Jesus said that searching the Scriptures would produce an overflowing testimony about Himself, He was not exaggerating.

In the Conventional Hebrew Scriptures, for every obvious reference to the Messiah in Scripture, there are 10 references that are hidden just waiting for you to discover by searching for them.

In the Picture language embedded in each letter of the Hebrew language, there are tens if not hundreds of thousands of pictographic disclosures regarding the Messiah.

In the Number language, the combination of references to the Messiah is too many to count.

The Scriptures are indeed the testimony of the Messiah.  There is only one person that fits the profile and meets the qualifications of the Messiah and His name is Yeshua.  He is Yeshua Ha-Mashiach, Jesus the Christ the Son of God anointed by the Heavenly Father to manifest Himself in the flesh, become God Incarnate for the purpose of undoing the curse brought upon the entire human race by the first Adam.

Jesus Christ is the Second Adam, the Son of God, Immanuel and our Messiah.

Thank you so much for these in-depth studies. I’ve read, studied and thought about God’s Word for many years, including footnotes and commentaries. In English, the Bible is often like a boat that sails on the sea, skimming along brightly yet always on the surface. In Hebrew, the Word takes us to the very depths of its spiritual ocean of Truth. What revelation! His Word has now become much more precious to me on many different levels. It continuously amazes and delights me. Praise God for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, and for His beautiful Word, His guide book to life on this earth and, and then eternal life with Him.

If Jesus is a second Adam. Then the first was lured by sin. Corruptible as any human could be. Did Jesus need to feel how we as people feel and try to repent evil almost dsoly

    1. Josh Keely says:

      Hi Doug.
Thanks for your comment. I’m not sure I fully understand your question, but let me attempt to provide some narrative. If you look in the book of Hebrews, we see the author reveals that Jesus is our High Priest, and because of his humanity, he has a full, personal understanding of the human state. See Hebrews chapter 4 below.

      Hebrews 4:12-16

12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

      >>God’s word will pierce our souls and find the sin in the dark corners of our hearts; it is discerning and knows our intentions.

13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

      >>You cannot fool yourself, and you certainly cannot fool God about sin that might be reigning in your life.

14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

      >>The good news is, we have a new High Priest, Jesus Christ, an infallible God-Man who sits on the throne, interceding for us daily.

15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

      >>This High Priest knows all the struggles of a human, first hand, and has a very special empathetic intercession because of his human nature.

16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

      >>Knowing all this, we should have confidence to bring these things to our High Priest to obtain mercy and grace from our Savior.

If this does not answer your question, let me know.

      Thanks!

Wonderful! I always welcomed the TV program “Jewish Jewels” so that I could learn about the meaning of each ‘member’ of the aleph – bet, and this study takes it even further. But not only is the linguistic insight fascinating, the illumination of scripture truths is the big payout! Thank you.
