The Mystery of Compassion
and its connection with Eternity!

The dictionary defines Compassion as a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering. The first time the Hebrew word that is literally translated as Compassion appears, it is revealing the Compassion of our Heavenly Father. We discovered in the previous article that the Hebrew letters that book-end the Hebrew Word are Reysh and Mem. We learned that this is the Hebrew Word for the Deceiver or the Destroyer. The Picture of the Dark Prince of Chaos, Confusion and ultimately Death says it all.
We asked ourselves what this grim picture was doing in the word Compassion.
?
Compassion
The answer to this is both eloquently simple and powerful. Man is on a way and journeying on path that has been opened by the Dark Prince of Death, the one who Yeshua said had come to Kill and Destroy. The one who is the Father of Lies and Deceit. God in His mercy has intervened into the middle of this destiny of death and destruction. The Prince Reysh and the Chaos and Destruction that is his stock and trade have been interrupted by Chet, which is a Refuge and Sanctuary of Safety.
The picture of Compassion includes not only the alleviation of the heartache but also the description of it. God’s Compassion is not about anything ordinary or mundane, it is about Eternal Life and Eternal Destruction. Could anything be more serious?
200
The number for Reysh, the Prince is 200. Two hundred is the number of Insufficiency and it is meant to notify man that on his own he can do nothing to secure Eternal Life. But the number 200 is also about the sufficiency of our Lord. What is impossible with man is possible with God.
40
The number for Mem is 40, the number of Probation that ends in deliverance and restoration. And how is man delivered? How is the Compassion that God has from fallen man worked out in a practical way?
8
The answer is in the number 8, the number of Chet. Eight is the number of Eternity. Eight is also the Number of Yeshua Ha-Mashiach, Jesus the Christ whose name is also the number 888 in Greek.
The three letters that make up the Hebrew word for Compassion disclose something amazing in the pictures and the number. They disclose the utter helplessness of man to change his destiny. They disclose that the path man is on is going to lead to eternal separation from God and a hell so horrific that works cannot describe it. They disclose the author of this grim destiny is none other than Satan himself.
The three letters also disclose a divine intervention that displace the Reysh who is the dark prince of this world, the prince of the power of the air with the Prince of Heaven, Yeshua Ha Mashiach. The Flood and Tsunami waters are replaced with the living water.
And how does this all happen?
It happens when our Heavenly Father intervenes in our certain path to destruction with the glad tiding that we do no need to perish. There is a way of escape. There is a sanctuary of safety. And who is that sanctuary? He is the Prince of Heaven, the true Reysh or Prince. He is Chet, the Safe place of Refuge and Sanctuary. He is Mem, the Living Water.
