Bith Lehem

But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.  Micah 5:2

Primary Conventional Usage

Bethlehem is a small town located 10 kilometers south of Jerusalem.  It is where David was crowned King of Israel and is referred to in the New Testament as the City of David.  Bethlehem is a combination of two Hebrew words.  Beth means the House and the Hebrew word Lehem means of Bread.  The “House of Bread” was the birthplace of Yeshua Ha-Mashiach, aka Jesus the Christ.  Micah the prophet forecast that Bethlehem of Ephratah was where the Messiah whose goings forth have been from everlasting will come forth.  Immanuel!

First use of Bethlehem in Scriptures

And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Bethlehem.  Genesis 35:19

(2) The Only Begotten Son of God is going to come after a (10) sequence of Divinely Ordained Events.  He will live a sinless life passing the (40) probationary test that the first Adam failed. The Messiah will arrive at the (400) Appointed Time to offer Himself as the (30) Perfect Lamb of God, an atonement for the sins of mankind. Those that receive Him will be given (8) a new birth and will upon their death or upon His coming will receive a newly created body.   We will then live for Eternity in the presence of our Heavenly Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Maranatha!

These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:  As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.  And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.  I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. John 17:1-4
